Yellowstone Trip for Gabe, Nana and Papa

Heading out on our adventure!

Gabe and Nana at Idaho Falls

Gabe at Midway Geysers

Papa, Gabe and Nana at the Fountain Paint Pots

Gabe and Old Faithful

Just having fun in Island Park

Last week we took our oldest grandson, Gabe, to Yellowstone to celebrate his 8th birthday and baptism. He was so excited to go and acted like such a gentleman during the entire trip. It was so fun to start this tradition with him. We hope to be able to take each of our grandchildren on a similar trip when they turn eight. It is so amazing to see how Gabe has grown and matured since his premature birth at 3 pounds 8 years ago. We are very proud of him!!

Gabe's Baptism

On Saturday our first grandchild, Gabe, was baptized. What a great day! He looked so dang handsome (and happy) sitting with his Papa in the chapel. All his favorite people were in attendance and both his Grandpa's took part. He is such a joy to me and I love to be around the mature young man he is becoming.

Thunderbirds

Everyone who knows me well understands my excitement for the Hill AFB Airshow and especially the Thunderbird. I have loved them since I was a little girl and was able to tour one of the planes when one of my Dad's good friend was a Thunderbird pilot. This year was no exception. I found the perfect viewing area and tagged my place early Saturday. I spent the afternoon watching and reading and enjoying the great weather. I also watched them practice on Friday and their final show on Sunday even though the weather didn't cooperate. I am already looking forward to the next airshow in 2 years.
